To obtain the visa, a fee of US$ 80.90 will need to be paid.
✏️How to apply for the visa?
The electronic visa application system has been available since 2023 and is a short process with a few steps:
1. The first step is to register on the VFS Global website (https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/) and fill out the form.
After completing the form, you will need to submit a copy of your passport and a photo. No interview, flight ticket, or proof of income will be required.
For minors, it will also be necessary to attach a copy of the birth certificate and a visa authorization for minors, signed by the parents and notarized.
2. The next step is to pay the fee of US$ 80.90 (approximately R$ 488.64).
After the payment of the fee, the applicant will receive an email confirming the status of the application, indicating whether the application was approved, rejected, or if additional documentation is required.
Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive a PDF file with the eVisa by email.
3. After that, it will be necessary to download, print, and present the electronic visa upon departure and arrival in Brazil.
🌍This visa is valid for which countries?
The electronic visa will be available only for citizens of the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Tourists from other countries who require a visa to enter Brazil should consult the consulates for visa issuance.
📆 How long can tourists stay in Brazil?
The visa for tourists from these countries will be required for those entering Brazil by air, sea, or land. The stay cannot exceed 90 days.
✅Who needs a visa?
Brazil requires a visa for people from over 60 nationalities to make a simple visit to the country.
🌍 Among them are: Angola, Saudi Arabia, China, Cuba, Egypt, India, Iran, and Iraq.
There are other nationalities that can enter Brazil without a visa, but for stays of up to 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on the country of origin.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visa requirement is mostly based on the principle of reciprocity, commonly applied in diplomacy.
